$25K Grant Supports UCF Entrepreneurship Dissertation Research
(Orlando, Florida) - Diane Sullivan, UCF’s first Doctoral student in the field of Entrepreneurship, received a $25,000 dissertation grant from the Florida High-Tech Corridor Council and the UCF Office of Research and Commercialization to investigate the dynamic nature of entrepreneurial networks. Sullivan’s research describes how entrepreneurs’ networks evolve as a consequence of shifting knowledge requirements during venture emergence and early growth. Sullivan has published several journal articles and book chapters, and has presented her research at many national and regional conferences. She will be joining the faculty at the University of Dayton this fall.
Ms. Sullivan’s research was conducted in association with UCF’s recently created Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The center promotes doctoral student research, and benefits from the efforts of entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology strategy researchers who regularly publish their work in top-tier entrepreneurship and management journals and have won major international awards for their research.
