The two-day
finals competition will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday, October 23rd with a reception and dinner for the event finalists, accompanying faculty, organizing committee representatives, competition judges, and other special guests.
Student teams in the Investment Intensive Plans track will be randomly assigned a team number. Student teams in the Limited Investment Plans track will also receive a randomly assigned team number. Teams will receive their number at the reception on Thursday. This number will let the teams know when they will be presenting on Friday.
The competition begins Friday morning and will be organized as follows:
7:00-8:30 - Student teams may elect to setup a promotional booth to facilitate communication and networking with attendees.
7:00-8:30 - Continental breakfast available for Faculty, Judges, and participating students only.
7:30-8:15 - Visitor Registration. Event starts promptly at 8:30.
8:30-10:05 - Presentations begin. Each team will present for 12 minutes. The judges have an additional 8 minutes for a Q&A session. Five minutes are provided to transition between teams. Teams 1-4 from each track will present their proposals. The sessions will be as follows: 1: 8:30am-8:50am, 2: 8:55am-9:15am, 3: 9:20am-9:40am, 4: 9:45am-10:05am
10:05 - 10:45 Break (Feedback Session for Contestants)
10:45-12:00 - Presentations continue. The remaining teams from each track will present their proposals. Sessions will be as follows: 5: 10:45am-11:05am, 6: 11:10am-11:30am, 7: 11:45am-12:05pm.
12:05-12:45 – Break (Feedback Session for Contestants)
12:45-2:00 - Luncheon and awards ceremony begins. Awards presented to the top teams, and finalist certificates presented to the other participating teams.
